Overview:
Technomancy: Genetic Algorithm is a 3rd person action roguelite with up to 8 players co-op multiplayer.





The story so far...:
Technomancy: Genetic Algorithm is the successor to Technomancy, a project I plan to self publish on Steam featuring up to 8 player online co-op.
The inspiration for this game has come from my passion for the roguelite game genre and what I notice is the lack of online multiplayer options, so from the ground-up signing up to get this game on steam and get multiplayer working to test and iterate was my biggest priority.
The game has been solo developed in Unity, with the biggest challenge so far being to develop for steamworks online multiplayer using the Mirror package.
The game features random item generation and a 2 weapon system with modifiers that can make the same weapon play completely different across runs.
Further additions will include designed out level spaces to combat enemies, collect items and fight each stages boss, passive items, and permanent unlocks that change future runs on the completion of achievements.
